Usher - Event Based Scheduling

About the Role

The Orpheum Theater is seeking friendly, reliable Ushers to provide an exceptional guest experience during live events. This is a flexible, event-based role where team members select shifts based on their availability and the theater's event schedule.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a professional and welcoming manner
• Scan tickets and assist with entry
• Escort patrons to their seats and provide directional assistance
• Answer guest questions regarding the venue, seating, and event details
• Monitor assigned areas to ensure guest safety and comfort
• Assist with crowd flow before, during, and after events
• Provide general support to front-of-house operations as needed

Schedule

• This is a flexible, event-based position; shifts are offered based on event needs
• Team members may accept or decline shifts based on availability
• Once a shift is accepted, attendance is expected and reliability is essential
• Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is preferred

Requirements

• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Professional appearance and positive attitude
• Ability to stand for extended periods and navigate stairs
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Prior hospitality or event experience is a plus, but not required

Pay

$15 hourly
