Role: Used Vehicle Buyer, Private Party Supply
Location: West Coast, CA, WA, OR, AZ, ID (Hybrid/Remote)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $60,000–100,000 + performance bonus
What You’ll Do
- Sources electric vehicles directly from consumers via inbound trade-in and appraisal requests.
- Proactively identifies and pursues outbound private seller opportunities (marketplaces, listings, referrals, local outreach).
- Evaluates vehicles using Ever’s pricing practices, market data, and AI-driven tools.
- Guides customers through a transparent, best-in-class selling experience.
- Negotiates offers with private sellers and closes deals efficiently.
- Hits weekly and monthly acquisition, margin, and quality targets.
- Partners closely with logistics, reconditioning, and title teams to ensure smooth vehicle intake.
- Provides market feedback to Product and Data teams to improve appraisal and pricing tools.
- Continuously tests new sourcing channels and seller acquisition strategies.
- Builds trust and long-term relationships with EV owners and communities.
Qualifications & Fit
- Minimum 2–6+ years of experience in vehicle buying and appraising
- Strong understanding of used vehicle pricing and market dynamics
- Confident negotiator with a customer-first mindset
- Data-driven decision maker
- Comfortable working high-volume inbound leads
- High urgency and ownership mentality
- Strong communication and closing skills
- Passion for EVs and clean transportation
Technical Skills
- Experience with vehicle appraisal tools and market data (MMR, KBB, Black Book, etc.)
- Comfort using CRMs and lead management systems (vAuto and VinSolutions)
- Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills
- Ability to evaluate vehicle condition remotely and in person
- Experience with digital retail tools a plus
