Vehicle Buyer

Responsibilities

• Acquire used-car inventory through direct contacts, generated leads, off-site auctions, dealers, internet inquiries, and other available avenues
• Appraise vehicles, assess vehicle condition, negotiate price, and make financially sound purchasing decisions
• Ensure timely processing of all purchases
• Understand retail trends and participate in the inventory planning process
• Deliver a premium customer experience by responding to inquiries promptly, professionally, accurately, and courteously using lead management tools
• Work in a fast-paced team environment while also functioning effectively as a self-starter when needed
• Generate leads and create appointments by researching the available used car market
• Meet car buying quotas
• Understand market tendencies and trends across all geographic areas
• Develop effective working relationships with purchasing venues to accelerate the placement of ideal inventory in an expeditious and cost-effective manner
• Effectively utilize lead management tools
• Compile all necessary reports, forms, and documentation on a timely basis
• Serve as the expert in all aspects of purchasing, shipping, selling, and stocking vehicles

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills
• Acceptable driving record and a valid driver’s license in your state of residence
