(USA) Tire and Battery Service Advisor
About the role
You will maintain facility and sales floor safety and standards, ensure the Tire and Battery Center (TBC) sales floor is organized and merchandised, present and maintain product displays, monitor tire and battery orders, and assist members with appointments and service decisions. This role involves triaging service workflow, operating TBC equipment, processing member purchases, and complying with company policies and safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Maintain facility and sales floor safety by adhering to all safety policies, conducting safety sweeps, following forklift and hazardous material handling requirements, and complying with company steel standards.
- Ensure the TBC sales floor is organized, stocked, zoned, and merchandised according to company policies, including handling claims, returns, shrink, and damages.
- Present and maintain merchandise by stocking, setting up, cleaning, and organizing displays, removing damaged goods, signing and pricing merchandise, and securing fragile and high-shrink items.
- Monitor tire and battery orders daily, assist members with installation appointments, communicate lead time changes or cancellations, and suggest alternatives for installation or fitments.
- Assist members with tire maintenance and repair services, providing expert recommendations using Sam’s Garage, product knowledge, and reference materials.
- Drive sales and service excellence by communicating the value of TBC offerings and collaborating with associates to promote member awareness.
- Triage and prioritize service workflow in TBC service bays, demonstrating awareness of service times and prioritizing appointments for efficiency.
- Operate hardware (e.g., cash registers), process member purchases, and assist with payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges using appropriate procedures.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity, using the Open Door Policy and applying these in business processes.
- Complete work assignments and priorities by collaborating with managers, co-workers, and members, identifying deadlines, and adapting to feedback.
- Follow TBC safety and security guidelines, provide accurate information to members, and report complaints, hazards, or issues with products or services.
- Use TBC equipment and supplies correctly, complete required documentation, and follow Point-of-Sale procedures to prevent shrink.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, handle challenging situations with professionalism, and engage effectively with members and team members.

Qualifications
- Valid state-issued driver’s license.
- 18 years of age or older.

- Experience in the auto service industry.
- Retail experience.

Pay
The hourly wage range for this position is $20.00 to $28.00. The actual rate will meet or exceed the minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional premiums may apply in specific circumstances, ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour, based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
