About the role
As a Facility Security Associate, you will control access to the facility, maintain a visible security presence, and ensure the safety of employees, visitors, and contractors. You will collaborate with teams to prioritize tasks, communicate progress, and identify improvement opportunities while adhering to company policies and safety procedures.
Responsibilities
- Verify identification, issue visitor badges, and maintain visitor logs to control facility access.
- Maintain a proactive security presence to deter threats and provide a sense of safety.
- Complete work assignments by following company policies, procedures, and available resources.
- Collaborate with managers, coworkers, and business partners to identify priorities and deadlines.
- Communicate progress and relevant information in a timely manner.
- Identify and recommend solutions for process improvements.
- Demonstrate adaptability to change, challenges, and feedback.
- Adhere to all company safety procedures, policies, and guidelines.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and operate machinery safely.
- Report hazards, near misses, injuries, and accidents immediately.
- Participate in safety training and emergency drills.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas to prevent accidents.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of workplace safety protocols.
- Conduct regular security checks of employees, visitors, and vehicles to prevent theft or unauthorized access.
- Provide assistance during emergencies, including evacuations, first aid, and directing individuals to safe areas.
- Maintain accurate security reports, incident logs, and documentation.
- Monitor and enforce safe work practices, including inspecting alarm systems, fire systems, and suppression equipment.
- Conduct security inspections of buildings, grounds, and trailers.
- Monitor inbound and outbound trailers using designated computer applications.
- Report unusual or suspicious activity to management.
- Create and issue associate and visitor badges.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.

Pay
The hourly wage range for this position is $20.80 - $26.00. The actual rate will meet or exceed the minimum wage for the job location. Additional premiums may apply in specific circumstances, ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour, based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
Schedule
Paid time off (PTO) and/or Protected Paid Time Off (PPTO) is provided for vacation, sick leave, holidays, or other purposes. The amount depends on job classification and length of employment and meets or exceeds paid sick leave laws where applicable.
