Security role focused on facility access control, safety enforcement, and emergency response at a manufacturing site.

Responsibilities

  • Control access to the facility by verifying identifications, issuing visitor badges, and maintaining visitor logs.
  • Maintain a visible and proactive presence to deter potential security threats and provide a sense of security to employees, visitors, and contractors.
  • Conduct regular security checks of employees, visitors, and vehicles entering or leaving the facility to prevent theft or unauthorized items.
  • Provide assistance and guidance during emergencies or security concerns, including evacuations, first aid, or directing individuals to designated safe areas.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed security reports, incident logs, and documentation of security-related incidents or activities.
  • Promote, monitor, and enforce safe work practices and a safe work environment by testing alarm systems, fire systems, and fire suppression equipment.
  • Conduct security inspections on buildings, grounds, and trailers.
  • Monitor inbound and outbound trailers entering and exiting the facility via computer applications.
  • Report unusual activity to appropriate management.
  • Create and issue new and replacement associate badges and visitor badges.
  • Adhere to all company safety procedures and guidelines, including using personal protective equipment and reporting hazards or accidents.
  • Operate machinery and equipment safely and participate in safety trainings and drills.
  • Collaborate effectively with managers, coworkers, and business partners to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Actively identify and suggest improvements for security and safety protocols.
  • Demonstrate adaptability and willingness to learn from feedback and change.
  • Embrace differences in people, cultures, and ideas to foster an inclusive workplace.
  • Build strong relationships, communicate effectively, and mentor others to strengthen the team.

Pay

The hourly wage range for this position is $20.80 - $26.00. The actual hourly rate will meet or exceed the minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may apply (ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour) based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
