Position Summary
TourToTeach, a role within Walmart, involves leading and developing teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates. This includes providing feedback during store tours, communicating and collaborating with all levels of associates, and introducing and leading company change efforts.
What you'll do...
- Teaches and trains teams, actively listens to associates, and provides feedback during store tours.
- Collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizes technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction.
- Introduces and leads company change efforts, sets clear expectations, and provides guidance to implement business solutions.
- Communicates business objectives to teams effectively, models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards, and follows the One Best Way (OBW) service model.
- Manages and supports customer service initiatives such as store of the community and community outreach programs, ensuring customer needs, complaints, and issues are resolved.
- Develops and implements action plans to correct deficiencies and provides process improvement leadership to ensure a high quality customer experience.
- Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating PL Profit Loss statements, managing and assisting in budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses.
- Maintains effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes, and develops and implements action plans to mitigate shrink and ensure sales and profit goals are achieved.
- Supervises and develops opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting clear expectations, providing associate recognition, and promoting a belonging mindset in the workplace.
- Hires, trains, mentors, assigns duties, provides recognition, and promotes a belonging mindset in the workplace for associates.
- Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, identifying and communicating goals and objectives, building accountability for and measuring progress in achieving results, identifying and addressing improvement opportunities, and demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous learning.
- Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures by implementing related action plans, utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy, and providing direction and guidance on applying these in executing business processes and practices.

- The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00 - $100,000.00, with additional compensation including annual or quarterly performance bonuses and regional pay zone (RPZ) and complex structure differentials, where applicable.
- Requires 2 years' of college, 1 year's retail experience and supervisory experience, or 2 years' general work experience and supervisory experience, with a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training required for facilities selling firearms, and a state-specific Certificate of Eligibility for facilities selling only ammunition.
- Associates must attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments.
- Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, general work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, and responsibility for performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
Pay & Benefits
The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00 - $100,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Complex Structure (based on external factors that create challenges).
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
- 2 years’ of college;
- 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience;
- 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience.
- Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University;
- General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports to include the responsibility of performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
