Position Summary

TourToTeach, a role within the Walmart organization, involves leading and developing teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates. This includes providing feedback during store tours, collaborating with all levels of associates, and introducing and leading company change efforts.

What you'll do...

  • Teaches and trains teams, actively listens to associates, and provides feedback during store tours.
  • Collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizes technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction.
  • Introduces and leads company change efforts, sets clear expectations, and guides team implementation of business solutions.
  • Communicates business objectives to teams effectively, models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards, and follows the One Best Way (OBW) service model.
  • Manages and supports customer service initiatives such as Store of the Community and community outreach programs, ensuring customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved.
  • Develops and implements action plans to correct deficiencies and improve the customer experience.
  • Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating Profit & Loss (PL) statements, managing and assisting in budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses, and developing and implementing action plans to mitigate shrinkage and ensure sales and profit goals are achieved.
  • Supervises and develops opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting clear expectations, providing associate recognition, and promoting a belonging mindset in the workplace.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures by implementing related action plans, utilizing the Open Door Policy, and providing direction and guidance on executing business processes and practices.
  • Respects individuals, builds high-performing teams, embraces differences, and creates a workplace where associates feel seen, supported, and connected through a culture of belonging.
  • Recruits and develops qualified associates to meet staffing needs and achieve company growth potential.
  • Coordinates and oversees job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, and identifying and addressing improvement opportunities.
  • Works collaboratively, builds strong and trusting relationships, communicates with impact, energy, and positivity to motivate and influence others, attracts and retains the best talent, and empowers and develops talent.
  • Acts with integrity, maintains and promotes the highest standards of ethics and compliance, models the Walmart values, and holds oneself and others accountable.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2 years’ of college;
  • OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience;
  • OR 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University;
  • General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports to include the responsibility of performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.

  • The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00 - $100,000.00, with additional compensation including annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
