Position Summary
TourToTeach, a role within Walmart, involves leading and developing teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates. This includes touring stores, providing feedback, and collaborating with all levels of associates regarding store operations, merchandising, and company direction.
What you'll do...
- Teaches and trains teams, actively listens to associates, and provides feedback during store tours.
- Collaborates with associates at all levels to communicate and address store operations, business initiatives, and merchandising.
- Introduces and leads company change efforts, sets clear expectations, and guides associates in implementing business solutions.
- Communicates business objectives to teams to ensure alignment and success.
- Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards by following and embodying the One Best Way (OBW) service model.
- Manages and supports customer service initiatives such as Store of the Community and community outreach programs.
- Ensures customer needs, complaints, and issues are resolved effectively, develops action plans to correct deficiencies, and provides process improvement leadership to enhance the customer experience.
- Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating Profit & Loss (PL) statements, managing budgets, forecasting, and controlling expenses.
- Maintains effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes to mitigate shrinkage and achieve sales and profit goals.
- Supervises and develops hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, providing clear expectations, recognizing associates, and promoting a belonging mindset.
- Recruits and develops qualified associates to meet staffing needs and achieve company growth potential.
- Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives, and identifying and addressing improvement opportunities.
- Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures by implementing related action plans, utilizing the Open Door Policy, and providing direction and guidance on executing business processes and practices.
- Respects individuals by building high-performing teams, embracing differences, and creating a workplace where associates feel seen, supported, and connected through a culture of belonging.
- Employs integrity by acting selflessly, being humble, honest, fair, and transparent, and holding oneself and others accountable.
- Serves customers and members by delivering results while putting the customer first, considering and adapting to how, where, and when customers shop, and applying the EDLP and EDLC business models to all plans.

Pay
The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00 - $100,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) and Complex Structure differentials.

Minimum Qualifications
- 2 years’ of college;
- OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience;
- OR 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University;
- General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports to include the responsibility of performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
Additional Information
- For facilities that sell firearms, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training is required.
- For facilities that sell only ammunition and have state-specific requirements, a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required.
- Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments.
