Universal Worker- PRN

Job Purpose

Responsible for all duties in relation to safely providing for the resident’s care and well-being. Requires a responsible demeanor to build confidence in residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Assists with all care needs including toileting, ambulation, bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, escorting, and transferring.
• Understands and reports any changes in resident alert status and condition.
• Aware of resident’s service plan and reports changes to relevant parties.
• Assists in the dining room, serves meals, cleans tables, and reports resident changes of condition.
• Supports activities and escorts residents to scheduled appointments.
• Notifies staff of safety issues and incidents.
• Delivers and restocks incontinent supplies and performs housekeeping duties.
• Assists with vital signs and equipment handling.
• Answers call lights and maintains communication devices.
• Maintains cleanliness and reports maintenance issues.

Minimum Qualifications

• Completion of some high school or equivalent courses.
• No prior experience required, on-the-job training provided.
• Active and unexpired CPR certification.

Additional Qualifications (Preferred)

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
• Familiarity and willingness to work with elderly population.
• Previous elder care experience preferred.
