Job Purpose
Responsible for all duties in relation to safely providing for the resident’s care and well-being. Requires a responsible demeanor to build confidence in residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Assists with all care needs including toileting, ambulation, bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, escorting, and transferring.
- Understands and reports changes in resident alert status and condition.
- Notifies relevant parties of resident changes of condition.
- Assists in the dining room during meal times, including setup, serving, and cleaning.
- Aware of and assists with activities, and gets residents to scheduled appointments.
- Notifies of and assists with incontinent supplies, vital signs, and housekeeping duties.
- Notifies management of incidents or errors and completes incident reports.
- Covers for the receptionist as directed.
- Maintains communication with residents via call lights and ensures equipment is signed in/out.
Minimum Qualifications
- Completion of some high school or equivalent courses.
- No prior experience required, on-the-job training provided.
- Active and unexpired CPR certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
- Familiarity and willingness to work with elderly population.
- Previous elder care experience preferred.
