Unfair Competition & Trade Secrets Associate - New York (New York City, Long Island, and Rochester) (Hybrid)
About the role
Littler Mendelson P.C. is seeking an attorney with a minimum 3 years civil litigation experience to join the Unfair Competition & Trade Secrets Practice Group. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn the most exciting, fast-paced litigation area of employment law. Among other things, the practice group helps clients protect against threatened disclosure of confidential information and trade secrets by obtaining temporary restraining orders, temporary injunctions, and permanent injunctions. The successful candidate must desire to assume significant responsibility including interviewing witnesses, drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and going to the courthouse to obtain temporary restraining orders and temporary injunctions. Must have excellent writing skills and be willing to work when a client has a problem. Must be licensed to immediately practice law in New York.
Responsibilities
- Assume significant responsibility including interviewing witnesses, drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and going to the courthouse to obtain temporary restraining orders and temporary injunctions.
- Work closely with clients to understand their needs and develop strategies to protect their interests.
- Participate in all aspects of litigation, including pre-trial motions, depositions, and trial preparation.
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on matters related to unfair competition and trade secrets.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years civil litigation experience.
- Licensed to practice law in New York.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Willingness to work when a client has a problem.
Qualifications
- Law degree from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice law in New York.
- Experience in employment law and/or trade secrets litigation preferred.
Skills
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.

Pay

The annual salary range for this position is $250,000 to $330,000 annually, contingent on relevant experience and education, and includes eligibility for performance-based bonuses.
