Truck Driver NON CDL Regional

Ryder is hiring a local/regional Class NON CDL Truck Driver in Louisville, KY. This role offers weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a stable driving career.

Pay

• Solo Miles Pay: $0.48 per mile with 1,300 miles per week
• Solo Stops Pay: $16.50 per stop with 25 stops per week
• Per Diem Pay: $40 per night with 2 nights per week
• Overnight hotel stays booked and paid by Ryder
• Earnings potential: $1,000 or more per week

Schedule

• Monday – Friday (no weekends)
• Start time: 4:00 AM

About the Role

• Deliver solo within a 300-mile radius of Louisville
• Route: Local/regional
• Tractor type: 26' straight truck
• Equipment: Manual pallet jack and forklift (Ryder provides training)
• Freight: Touch – primarily glass shower doors; may cover other accounts as needed
• Trucks are 36 months or newer with 24/7 roadside maintenance
• Company drivers fuel up at over 800 maintenance facilities nationwide

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience
• Must pass a Ryder drug test
• Verifiable driving experience in like equipment (straight truck or box truck):
  • 6 months experience in the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
• Must pass a Ryder background check and motor vehicle check, including:
  • Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Must pass a DOT physical
• Must pass a Ryder road test
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures

Note: This position does not require the operation of CDL-regulated equipment. However, candidates who possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License will be subject to FMCSA requirements, including a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse query.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive a vehicle within compliance of safety regulations, continuous training, and customer service
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards, and guidelines
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards
• Maintain accurate records
• Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading as required by the customer
• Other tasks as assigned
