Ryder is hiring a non-CDL Truck Driver in Whitinsville, MA — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.
Pay
- $1500 or more per week
- Solo Miles Pay: $0.45 per mile with 1500 miles per week
- Solo Stops Pay: $15.00 per stop with 55 - 60 stops per week
- Nights out: 2 times per week with per diem
- Overnights for route in Ryder-booked hotel
- Paid training
Schedule
- Monday - Friday
- Start time: 6:00 AM
- 2 overnights per week
About the role
- Deliver solo to ME, NH, VT, MA, RI, CT, NYC (including Long Island), and Buffalo
- Tractor type: Straight truck (22' and 26') and Sprinter van
- Freight: Touch – Glass
- Operate well-maintained, safe trucks (36 months or newer) with 24/7 roadside maintenance and fueling at over 800 nationwide maintenance locations
- Autonomy on the road with support behind the scenes

Requirements
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience
- Pass a Ryder drug test
- Verifiable driving experience in like equipment:
- 6 months experience in the past 3 years, OR
- 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR
- 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
- Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
- Pass a DOT physical
- Pass a Ryder road test
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures
Note: This position does not require the operation of CDL-regulated equipment. However, candidates who possess a valid Commercial Drivers License will be subject to FMCSA requirements, including a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse query.
Some positions may require additional screening, such as employment and education verification, motor vehicle records check, road test, and/or customer-specific badging or background requirements.
Responsibilities
- Safely drive a vehicle within and comply with safety regulations, continuous training, and customer service
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards, and guidelines
- Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards
- Maintain accurate records
- Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading freight if required by customer
- Other tasks as assigned
