Triage RN, Primary Care

About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) position supports the adult internal medicine practice at Newton-Wellesley Hospital, providing phone triage services to patients.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process.
• Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to provide population-specific care.
• Ensures patient safety and adheres to infection control and universal precautions.
• Coordinates and collaborates with other multidisciplinary team members to facilitate a comprehensive discharge plan.
• Manages urgent and emergent situations effectively.
• Communicates effectively and promotes a cooperative working environment.

Requirements

• Full-time, 40-hour work week.
• Wellesley office: Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:30am-5:00pm.
• Newton office: Remaining days from 8:30am-5:00pm.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• Experience in adult internal medicine and/or triage preferred.

Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
• Knowledge of BORN regulations and professional standards of care.

Pay

$36.00 - $40.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule

40 hours per week, rotating shifts between Wellesley and Newton offices.
