Traveling Food Service Manager

About the role

Aramark Healthcare+ is seeking a Traveling Food Service Manager to support the Jefferson Health System. This position plans, administers, and directs day-to-day food service operations in compliance with Aramark Healthcare+, regulatory agencies, and client standards. The role leads supervisory and hourly staff while establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other departments to provide a unified food service experience for patients, residents, visitors, and employees.

Responsibilities

• Deliver strong operational performance by executing ARAMARK Healthcare and regulatory agency standards, monitoring operations, and completing assessments and action plans to ensure optimal food quality and meal service.
• Drive patient and customer satisfaction and maintain client relationships through rounding.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
• Manage food cost, procurement, and waste control.
• Supervise, staff, train, and manage the performance of Food Service Supervisors and front-line staff regarding food presentation, quality, cost control, and cash handling.
• Control labor, resources, and materials to ensure quality, adequate supply, staffing levels, and cost control within budgetary guidelines.
• Schedule and manage food service activities in compliance with ARAMARK Healthcare systems.
• Utilize customer feedback to respond to customer and patient needs and improve services.
• Adapt to changing job duties or new assignments as needed to meet commitments.

Requirements

• At least 1-2 years of experience in a food service supervisor or management role.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Healthcare food service management experience preferred.
• Experience managing, motivating, and engaging a large workforce.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Nutrition education and/or background preferred.
• SERV Safe Certification is a plus.
• Ability to work a varied schedule, including opening, closing, mid-shift, alternate weekends, and holidays.
