This position involves providing specialized care to patients with diagnoses such as cardiac issues, nephrology, strokes, and diabetes, with continuous EEG monitoring. The nurse will be responsible for patient assessment and implementing care protocols in a unit that emphasizes critical thinking, good communication, and teamwork. Job Details: Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association), NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) required. Licensure: Valid license to submit is required. Location Requirements: Radius rule of 50 miles; candidates may not be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with the organizations network, including affiliated organizations. Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, shifts from 1830-0700, minimum of 36 hours per week. Required Qualifications: Certifications include BLS, ACLS, NIHSS; minimum of 2 years of experience; valid licensure. Additional Information: Nurse aids/patient care techs are present on the unit, with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4-5. The unit provides care for adults and geriatrics with common diagnoses including cardiac, nephrology, strokes, and DM. The position requires titration of various drips, including Cardizem, betablockers, and seizure medications. Float: Float rotation may be required to medical floors, ICU, or rehabilitation units. Orientation: Initial onboarding week plus 1-2 days of floor orientation. Attributes for success: A positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, strong communication skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving ability. Additional Notes: Candidates must have a valid drivers license, and RTO requests must be submitted upfront (7 days or fewer within a 13-week contract). No additional RTO will be approved.
