About the role

Step Down Unit Registered Nurse (RN) position in Cleveland, Ohio. This specialized cardiac care unit provides high-acuity treatment for patients with advanced heart failure, pulmonary hypertension, complex cardiac conditions, and implantable cardiac devices. The role involves managing pre- and post-cardiac procedures, electrolyte-related dysrhythmias, and working with patients awaiting transplants or with ventricular assist devices, requiring experienced cardiac nursing skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert care for patients with implantable cardiac devices, heart failure, and those undergoing various cardiac procedures.
• Manage pre- and post-cardiac procedures and electrolyte-related dysrhythmias.
• Care for patients with advanced heart failure, pulmonary hypertension, and complex cardiac conditions.
• Assist patients awaiting transplants or with ventricular assist devices.

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License/State ID
• UHS Skills Checklist
• Professional UHS Submission Packet
• UHS Prior Employment Form
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in cardiac or critical care nursing

Schedule

• 12-hour night shifts
• Minimum of 36 hours per week
• 13-week duration
• Start date: October 5, 2026
