Job Summary

A Registered Nurse specializing in Stepdown units is needed in Fort Smith, Arkansas. This role involves providing high-quality care to patients recovering from cardiac surgeries and managing complex cardiac medications and airway support.

Job Details

• Location: Fort Smith, AR
• Shift: Nights
• Schedule: 12 hours shift, minimum of 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Current Arkansas Licensure
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• NIHSS (Neurological Impact Scale)
• 2+ years of experience in a stepdown or similar unit with experience in Post Cardiovascular Surgeries, titrating cardiac drips (Nitro, Cardizem, Amio, Esmolol), Bipaps, utilizing Airvos, and recognizing deteriorating patients.
• Float rotation may be required.

• Candidates should be comfortable with rapid turnaround and changing priorities, and possess the ability to identify patient deterioration promptly.

Pay Package

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
