About the role
Step Down Unit registered nurse (RN) position located in a healthcare facility in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role involves providing specialized care to patients requiring intermediate level monitoring and treatment. The position requires flexibility to work on units with the greatest current need, whether that be progressive care units or medical-surgical/telemetry units, based on experience and skills. The assignment is suitable for professionals with prior step down or telemetry experience.
Schedule
- Days shift, 12 hours per shift
- Minimum of 36 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient care while adhering to unit protocols and safety standards
- Float onsite within skillset or to sites within 40 miles if needed
- Placed on the unit with the greatest staffing need
Requirements
- 2 years of Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) or Medical-Surgical Telemetry Acute Care experience
- RN licensure and current license/certificate verification
- Valid driver’s license or state ID
- Professional references
Preferred Qualifications
- Epic electronic health record experience
- Prior travel experience
- RN Step Down (Progressive Care Unit) credentialing
- RN specialty exam for Step Down (Progressive Care)

Pay
Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
