Job Summary

A Step Down Unit registered nurse (RN) position located at a healthcare facility in Fort Smith, AR. This role involves providing specialized care to patients recovering from surgery, stroke, and other complex conditions, with a focus on cardiac and neurological monitoring. Job Details

• Position: RN Step Down
• Location: Fort Smith, AR
• Schedule: Nights; 12-hour shifts; minimum 36 hours per week

Required Certifications

• ACLS
• BLS
• NIHSS

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2+ years of experience in a comparable clinical setting, including experience with Post CV Surgeries, Post Stroke, titrating cardiac drips (Nitro, Cardizem, Amio, Esmolol), Bipaps, utilizing Airvos, and recognizing patient deterioration.
• Experience caring for Post Op/ CV/ Neuro/ Full Stroke, Respiratory, Stepdown, ICU, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

• Float rotation may be required.

Additional Information

• The unit is equipped with Philips bedside monitors and uses the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system.
• It has 16 beds with a patient ratio of 4:1.
• Candidates must be team-oriented, professional, and adhere to dress code standards, including wearing black scrubs.

Pay Package

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
