Travel Step Down Unit RN - $2,240 per week
Job Summary
Step Down Unit Nurse Night Shift Location: unspecified. This role involves floating between medical-surgical, telemetry, and step-down units, providing specialized patient care for a variety of diagnoses including post-surgical, pneumonia, dialysis, palliative care, hospice, and chemotherapy. The position requires flexibility to support multiple units within the healthcare organization.
Job Details
Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related clinical setting is necessary.
Schedule: Night shift, 12‑hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Responsibilities: Float to medical‑surgical and telemetry units, step‑down units, and potentially assist in the intensive care unit as needed; ability to read and interpret strips and titrate drips such as Cardizem, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Heparin.
Preferred qualifications: Experience with electronic medical record systems (Cerner, Epic); strong knowledge of cardiac monitoring and managing high‑flow oxygen devices like BiPAP and CPAP.
Additional information: Fast‑paced environment handling diverse patient conditions, including remote telemetry and ventilator support; self‑scheduling and blocked schedules permitted as long as unit needs are met.
