Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments for students
- Develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals and therapy plans
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to eligible students and monitor progress
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers to support student success
- Document therapy outcomes and participate in required school meetings and compliance activities
- Maintain privacy and confidentiality in accordance with district policies and regulations
Requirements
- Alaska state licensure status (Active, Pending, or Waiting to Apply)
- Eligibility to work in a school-based setting under Alaska requirements
- Experience in pediatric or school-based speech-language pathology preferred
- Education aligned with the profession’s standard requirements (e.g., degree in Speech-Language Pathology)
- Ability to work effectively in a K-12 school setting and to follow district policies
About the Role
This travel, temporary assignment starts August 17, 2026 for 39 weeks with an expected 40 hours per week (days shift).
Pay
Weekly pay ranges from $2,288 to $2,355.
