Responsibilities
- Provide speech-language pathology services to patients with speech, language, or swallowing disorders
- Assess and document data from patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes; identify changes and trends in physical and emotional parameters
- Review treatment plans and modify or write new programs based on individual performance
- Maintain documentation in accordance with legal, policy, and regulatory requirements
- Instruct patients on strategies to monitor speech and practice new skills; educate patients and families as appropriate
- Collaborate with the care team to support comprehensive patient management and discharge planning
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or foreign equivalent (required)
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist licensure in the state of practice (required)
- CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor (required)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Valid Driver’s License; must be 21 years of age or older (required)
- At least two years of recent experience in the field (required)
- Current nursing license per the state of assignment (required)
