Travel Respiratory Therapist - PICU - $2,282 per week

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 4+ years of experience for a PICU night shift position at an acute care Magnet hospital in Alaska.
Details
- Acute care Magnet hospital with 152 staffed beds
- PICU unit serving a high-acuity patient population including trauma, CCU, floor therapy, Level 2 ER, PICU, and NICU cases
- Patient diagnoses include respiratory therapy across Level 2 ER, PICU, NICU, CCU, and floor therapy settings
- Patient ratio of 1:4
- Specialized equipment includes Servo U, V60 ventilator, and High-Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
- Charting in Cerner EMR
- Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00), with possibility to fill in day shifts if necessary
- Every other weekend required
- Floating required within scope to meet facility needs across CCU, Flex Unit, SDU, PEDS, PICU, PCU, and FBS
- No on-call required
- 13-week assignment
Requirements
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
- Minimum 4 years of respiratory therapy experience required
- PICU, NICU, and Adult ICU experience preferred
- Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, CRT, NRP, PALS, RTR
- Cerner EMR experience
- Previous travel assignment required; first-time travelers will not be considered
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Alaska state license required prior to start date; compact license accepted at time of consideration for acute specialties — Alaska license required if applicable
- Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
