American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 4+ years of experience for a PICU night shift position at a 152-bed Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Alaska.
Acute care hospital setting, 152-bed Magnet-designated facility in Alaska
PICU unit with a high-acuity patient population, including trauma, CCU, and floor therapy cases
Patient population spans PICU, NICU, and adult ICU levels with Level 2 ER designation
Patient ratio of 1:4
Specialized equipment includes Servo U, V60 ventilators, and High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
Charting via Cerner EMR

Hrs: 36 hrs/wk

Requirements
- Active RRT credential required
- Minimum 4 years of respiratory therapy experience required
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CRT, NRP, PALS, RRTP
- Prior completed travel assignment required; first-time travelers will not be considered
- Compact license accepted at time of consideration, but an Alaska (AK) state license is required prior to start for this acute specialty position — license required if applicable
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be considered
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
