Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Intermediate Care Unit (Stepdown)

Overview

Sentara Leigh Hospital is hiring a Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for our Intermediate Care Unit (Stepdown) 4 East.

Department Overview

This 24 bed IMC Unit is designed for patients who are too ill for general medical/surgical, but do not need an intensive level of care. Patients on 4E require continuous monitoring and advanced nursing interventions including but not limited to ventilator management, tracheostomy care, telemetry monitoring, heparin infusions, BiPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula and post-operative cardiac and vascular patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for patients in the Intermediate Care Unit (Stepdown)
• Continuous monitoring and advanced nursing interventions

Requirements

• Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• ACLS
• NIH Stroke Scale
• Must have two or more years of current acute care hospital RN experience

Qualifications

• Education: Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in the Nursing Field required

Pay

• $70.00/hr pay rate

Schedule

• 14-week assignment
• Night Shift
• No benefits
