Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Intermediate Care/Stepdown

About the role

Sentara Obici Hospital located in Suffolk, Virginia is hiring an experienced Traveler Registered Nurse for the IMCU Stepdown unit. This is a temporary full-time 14-week assignment on the day shift.

The IMCU at Sentara Obici Hospital provides care for patients with a variety of surgical, cardiac, and post procedural neuro cases that stepdown from ICU. This unit sees a ratio of 1:5 with mixed patient acuity levels and is well supported with additional patient care technicians, educators, and a strong leadership team.

Responsibilities

The primary duties of this position include assessing/admitting patients, rounding checks, giving medications, talking with family members, and being responsible for the overall care of patients.

Requirements

• Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in the Nursing Field required
• Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• ACLS
• NIH Stroke Scale
• Must have two or more years of current acute care hospital RN experience
