Travel Registered Nurse - Intermediate Care

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care across all age groups.
• Care for patients with post-op CABG/valve surgeries, thoracotomies, respiratory failure, and chest pain.
• Operate unit equipment such as chest tubes, temporary pacemakers, and BiPAPs.
• Float to similar or lower acuity units as needed, ensuring patient rights and confidentiality.

Qualifications & Skills

• Current RN license, eligible for licensure in Missouri or licensed in Missouri.
• At least 1 year of inpatient Cardiac Stepdown experience.
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Flu vaccination required, with approved exemptions.
• Availability for full orientation, including night shift orientation on day shift.
• Preferred: NIHSS certification, experience with EPIC EMR, familiarity with post-op cardiac surgery and respiratory failure patients.
