Registered Nurse (RN) - Intermediate Care Unit (Stepdown)

About the role

The Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) at Sentara Obici Hospital is seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality, evidence-based care to patients requiring close observation and specialized nursing support.

Responsibilities

• Monitor complex conditions and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team
• Ensure a smooth transition for patients between critical care and general medical-surgical units
• Provide care for higher acuity patients in neuro, cardiac, respiratory, surgical, and renal conditions
• Work in a magnet designated facility committed to teamwork and quality healthcare

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Nursing- BSN or MSN (Preferred)
• Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing (required)
• Registered nursing License (Required)
• BLS required within 90 days of hire

Qualifications

• No prior experience required
• One year of acute care experience preferred
• Previous healthcare experience preferred
