Travel Registered Nurse PACU Job

Travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in the PACU, based in Moses Lake, Washington. This 13-week role in a home healthcare setting blends caregiving and care management for a defined group of patients, with opportunities to supervise and delegate care as needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and data collection focusing on physiologic, psychosocial, and cognitive status
• Deliver care using the Nursing Process, adhering to predetermined procedures, policies, and care plans
• Identify learning needs of patients/significant others and provide defined patient teaching
• Document care in the chart via electronic medical records and/or paper processes per policy and regulatory requirements
• Demonstrate appropriate delegation of patient care activities and supervise assigned staff
• May function as Charge Nurse, coordinating patient assignment, admits/discharges/transfers, and staffing coverage as needed
• Maintain safety, infection control, and adherence to facility policies; uphold patient/family rights and dignity
• Ensure professional growth and competency with ongoing education and safety practices

Requirements

• Current Washington State RN licensure
• BLS (Healthcare Provider) within 30 days of hire
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire
• PALS or PEARS within 6 months of hire
• CPAN certification preferred
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
• Acute care RN experience preferred; minimum of 1 year RN experience preferred for specialty nursing departments
• Ability to perform the full scope of RN responsibilities, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care
• Total Joint Program requirements: 4 hours of orientation training and 4 hours of annual training

Pay

Weekly pay ranges from $2,140 to $2,223.

Schedule

• 13-week assignment with guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Day shifts

• Up to 24 hours of no-cost call-off available during the assignment
