Travel Registered Nurse PACU Job

Key Highlights

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver safe, patient-family centered care across pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases.
• Serve as Circulating Nurse, 1st Scrub (Instrument), and/or 2nd Scrub (Assistant) based on training and needs.
• Collaborate with the surgical team and ancillary staff to optimize outcomes and patient experiences.
• Provide patient and family education, direct patient care, and timely status communication to families.
• Document perioperative care and procedures in Cerner EHR; ensure accuracy and compliance with policies.
• Uphold infection control, safety, and quality standards throughout the perioperative process.

Requirements

• Current RN licensure in good standing
• AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• CNOR certification
• Cerner EHR experience
• Minimum 2 years of perioperative experience
• Experience in Gastroenterology/Endoscopy Lab; Orthopedic, General Surgery, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, ENT; and interventional pain management is preferred
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; graduate of an accredited RN program; BSN preferred but not required
• Ability to work in a perioperative setting in a travel assignment
