Travel Registered Nurse PACU Job
Overview
Registered Nurse – PACU in Lima, Ohio. Start date 08/25/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive peri-anesthesia nursing care for patients across pre-, intra-, and post-anesthesia phases, following ASPAN standards
- Conduct initial and ongoing assessments; develop and update an individualized plan of care for the peri-anesthesia continuum
- Assist with nerve blocks and peri-anesthesia planning; address the patient’s physical, psychological, educational, sociocultural, and spiritual needs
- Communicate with the anesthesiology team; document findings and report problems to anesthesia; participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning
- Administer and oversee post-anesthesia Phase I care, transitioning to Phase II as appropriate; monitor vital signs, manage pain, and support safe recovery and discharge
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure continuity of care during handoffs; respond promptly to changes in patient status and be available for on-call duties within 30 minutes
Requirements
- Current, active Ohio RN license
- Minimum 3 years PACU experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications current
Qualifications
- RN degree (diploma/bachelor’s) from an accredited program
- Ability to work in a hospital PACU setting and collaborate with anesthesia and perioperative teams
- On-call readiness with a 30-minute response time
