Travel Registered Nurse PACU Job

Travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in the PACU at a short-term acute care hospital in Lancaster, Ohio through Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

About the role

13-week contract starting 08/17/2026 with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Typical schedule is four 9-hour shifts (4x9s) around 8:30 AM–6:00 PM, including weekend call (one day every 6 weeks) and night call (4–5 shifts per 6 weeks).

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for each patient using the nursing process in PACU
• Monitor vital signs, airway, pain, and recovery status; respond to changes and administer physician orders as written
• Document nursing care thoroughly and accurately; communicate pertinent observations to the surgical team and physicians
• Provide patient and family education from admission through discharge planning
• Prepare and use equipment and supplies for patient care; report malfunctions promptly
• Supervise and direct the work of nursing assistants as appropriate, ensuring safe, patient-centered care

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Ohio
• CPR certification
• Education: Diploma in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program
• Previous RN experience preferred
• Ability to work in a PACU environment and manage multiple priorities
• Physical capacity to perform required duties, including patient handling as needed

Pay

Weekly pay: $2,105–$2,147.
