A registered nurse position in a post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) is available in an acute care surgical services setting in Lapeer, Michigan. The travel assignment begins on August 17, 2026, and lasts for 13 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $1,785 to $1,850, with shifts of 12 hours, days, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., on a 3x12-day schedule.

Responsibilities

Provide postoperative care to surgical patients in the PACU, monitoring recovery status and stability
Assess airway, breathing, circulation, and vital signs; respond to changes in patient condition
Manage analgesia, antiemetics, and other medications per protocol; document responses and side effects
Facilitate safe patient transitions from PACU to extended post-anesthesia care or discharge, following protocols
Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and discharge criteria
Communicate effectively with anesthesia, surgical teams, and postoperative care colleagues; escalate issues promptly

Requirements

Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Michigan
2+ years PACU experience (required)
Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA)
Education: RN degree (Diploma/Associate/Bachelor’s acceptable)
Ability to work in an acute PACU environment within a surgical services setting

About the Role

This role requires a registered nurse with active, unrestricted licensure in Michigan and 2+ years of PACU experience. Candidates must also hold certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS. A bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred but not required.
