About the role
Registered Nurse in PACU, providing postoperative care in a short-term acute care setting.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care
- Monitor patient vitals
- Manage pain and nausea
- Administer medications
- Respond to emergencies
- Document patient progress
- Coordinate patient transfers
Key Duties
- Assess patient status
- Ensure airway and circulation stability
- Manage anesthesia recovery
- Recognize emergencies
- Communicate with the care team
- Prepare patients for discharge or transfer
Qualifications & Skills
- Kansas RN license
- BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications
- Minimum 1 year PACU and PreOp experience
- Ability to work 4x10-hour shifts
- Participation in virtual orientation
- No new graduates accepted
