Overview

Registered Nurse – Operating Room (Travel) opportunity in Machias, Maine. Start date: 08/24/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,239–$2,320 per week. Shift: Days, 5x8. This travel assignment involves perioperative care within a surgical services setting, with responsibility across the pre-, intra-, and postoperative continuum. Assignment managed by Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, patient-family centered perioperative nursing care across pre-, intra-, and post-operative phases
• Scrub and circulate for operative procedures; assist in recovery as needed
• Collaborate with the perioperative team; communicate effectively and maintain patient confidentiality
• Monitor patient status, administer interventions, and ensure safety and infection control standards
• Document care, vitals, and intraoperative events; respond promptly to changes in condition
• Uphold the organization’s mission, vision, and values while delivering high-quality care

Requirements

• Active RN license in Maine
• Relevant OR/perioperative nursing experience
• Must be able to scrub, circulate, and work in the recovery room as needed
• CNOR certification preferred
• Covid-19 vaccination required
• Strong communication skills and commitment to confidentiality
