Travel Registered Nurse OR Job

Travel assignment in Watertown, New York for 13 weeks starting on 09/14/2026. Guaranteed 40 hours per week in a hospital perioperative environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care across preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases in the OR.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR staff to ensure patient safety and aseptic technique; assist with instrument preparation and handling.
• Prepare the operating room, maintain sterile technique, assist with patient positioning, and manage equipment and supplies.
• Monitor intraoperative patient status, including vital signs and hemodynamics; document care and respond to changes promptly.
• Recognize and address safety issues for patients and staff; assist with safe patient transfers and use of lifting devices as needed.
• May assume duties as a charge nurse and participate in on-call coverage with a 30-minute response time.

Requirements

• Current New York State Registered Nurse license.
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Lethal dysrhythmia interpretation skills.
• Ability to function effectively in OR/ASU settings; knowledge of typical clinical equipment and instrumentation used in perioperative care.
• Preceptorship, charge, and leadership abilities preferred for experienced RNs.
• On-call availability with a 30-minute response time.

Pay

Weekly pay ranges from $2,518 to $2,580.

Schedule

• 8-hour days: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM.
• Weekend, holiday, and on-call duties as required.
