Travel Registered Nurse OR Job

Overview

Travel assignment beginning 09/28/2026 for 13 weeks, 40 hours per week, days shift in an inpatient surgical unit within a health system. Employment is a travel - temporary assignment; work is conducted under the Maine Board of Nursing guidelines and facility policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the operating room and perioperative areas under supervision of the Unit Director; collaborate with the Clinical Leader/Charge Nurse for shift oversight
• Prepare and maintain sterile technique, assist with procedures, monitor patient status before, during, and after surgery as appropriate; administer medications per orders
• Work with anesthesia teams and other perioperative staff; document care in the electronic health record; participate in handoffs and care planning
• Ensure patient safety, infection control, and readiness of equipment; monitor patient telemetry as applicable and adjust care as needed
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members; adapt to changing priorities and multi-task effectively

Requirements

• Current Maine RN license
• BLS and ACLS required within 30 days of hire
• COVID-19 vaccination fully vaccinated per state mandate
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Telemetry experience preferred
• Ability to work in an inpatient surgical/OR setting and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team; flexible hours

Pay

Weekly pay range: $2,410 to $2,577 per week
