Travel Registered Nurse Oncology Job
Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process
- Assess and monitor patient status; implement and evaluate care plans; administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines
- Utilize critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent decision-making to safeguard patient safety and optimize outcomes
- Document care accurately and communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team
- Participate in care planning, rounds, and performance improvement activities as needed
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California (or eligibility for CA licensure)
- Oncology nursing background or strong clinical experience in an oncology setting preferred
- Ability to perform in a hospital environment and manage 12-hour night shifts
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
- Willingness to participate in a 13-week travel assignment and adhere to facility policies
