About the Role

Travel Registered Nurse – Oncology assignment in Penn Yan, NY, starting September 21, 2026. This is a temporary hospital-based position on an acute medical-surgical unit with telemetry capabilities.

Pay

Weekly pay range: $2,030–$2,168 per week.

Schedule

3x12-hour rotating shifts (day/night), including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care on an acute medical-surgical unit, including patients requiring telemetry monitoring.
• Assess needs, develop individualized care plans, implement interventions, and evaluate patient progress in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and therapies, monitor responses, and ensure accurate documentation.
• Educate patients and families to support self-care after discharge and promote ongoing health and healing.
• Participate in rounds, coordinate with physicians, case management, and other disciplines; identify opportunities for quality improvement.
• Support and educate colleagues, delegate tasks appropriately, and uphold infection prevention and patient safety standards.

Requirements

• Current New York State Registered Professional Nurse license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience.
• Experience with telemetry monitoring on a Med/Surg unit.
• Ability to work a rotating 3x12 schedule including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Comfortable providing care in a hospital acute care setting.
