Overview

This travel assignment places you in a fast-paced oncology care environment focused on coordinated patient-centered nursing. You will deliver direct care for an assigned group of patients, participate in the nursing process, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide coordinated nursing care for oncology patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process
  • Assess patient conditions, monitor status, administer medications and treatments as ordered, and manage symptoms
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, document patient progress, and adjust plans as needed
  • Safely administer treatments, ensure infection control practices, and educate patients and families about care plans and symptom management
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes and ensure smooth transitions of care across shifts

Requirements

  • Oncology or related medical-surgical nursing experience preferred in an inpatient setting
  • Ability to work in Nights (12-hour shifts) and manage a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical documentation skills
  • Effective communication and teamwork to coordinate care with diverse disciplines
