Travel Registered Nurse OB GYN Job
Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated obstetric nursing care for a patient or assigned group according to established standards and the nursing process
- Supervise and direct the activities of nursing staff across roles; coordinate care with other disciplines using critical thinking and professional judgment
- Collect relevant data, analyze assessment findings, develop a care plan, implement interventions, and evaluate progress toward outcomes
- Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team; participate in discharge planning and provide clear health information
- Delegate appropriately and coordinate duties of the healthcare team to maintain a safe, healing environment
- Be prepared to take over recovery in Labor and Delivery and assist with cesarean deliveries, including receiving and stabilizing newborns when indicated
Requirements
- Licensure: Current Registered Nurse license for California (or eligibility for California licensure)
- Experience: At least two years of recent experience in the field
- Education: BSN preferred
- Certifications: BLS or equivalent; ACLS; NRP; and department-specific requirements
- Specialty certifications: AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS; AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS required
- Labor/Delivery readiness: Able to take over L&D recovery and manage cesarean birth scenarios
