Travel Registered Nurse OB GYN Job

Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated obstetric nursing care for a patient or assigned group according to established standards and the nursing process
• Supervise and direct the activities of nursing staff across roles; coordinate care with other disciplines using critical thinking and professional judgment
• Collect relevant data, analyze assessment findings, develop a care plan, implement interventions, and evaluate progress toward outcomes
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team; participate in discharge planning and provide clear health information
• Delegate appropriately and coordinate duties of the healthcare team to maintain a safe, healing environment
• Be prepared to take over recovery in Labor and Delivery and assist with cesarean deliveries, including receiving and stabilizing newborns when indicated

Requirements

• Licensure: Current Registered Nurse license for California (or eligibility for California licensure)
• Experience: At least two years of recent experience in the field
• Education: BSN preferred
• Certifications: BLS or equivalent; ACLS; NRP; and department-specific requirements
• Specialty certifications: AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS; AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS required
• Labor/Delivery readiness: Able to take over L&D recovery and manage cesarean birth scenarios
