Responsibilities

  • Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process
  • Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines
  • Collect relevant data, analyze assessments, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate patient progress toward outcomes
  • Collaborate with the patient, family, and healthcare team; provide education to patients and families; participate in discharge planning for continuity of care
  • Delegate appropriately and coordinate duties of the healthcare team; maintain a safe, healing, and respectful environment
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (California) required
  • Certifications: CPR/BLS required; ACLS or ARC-ALS required; NRP or ARC-NALS required
  • Education: BSN preferred
  • Experience: At least two years of recent experience in the field; acute care facility experience preferred
  • Specialty and systems: OB/GYN background with ability to work in a high-acuity, fast-paced setting; EPIC and Cerner experience preferred for backfill assignments
  • General: Ability to work the listed shift and meet assignment needs; eligibility to work in the United States
