Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for OB/GYN patients according to established standards and the nursing process
- Supervise and direct activities of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines; exercise professional and supervisory discretion
- Collect relevant patient data, analyze assessment findings, and develop a care plan to achieve desired outcomes
- Implement the plan, coordinate care delivery, and participate in strategies to promote patient safety and a healing environment
- Participate in discharge planning, provide education to patients and families, and ensure smooth transitions of care
- Document care in the patient record, collaborate with the treatment team, and adapt care during patient transitions; float to L&D/LDRP as required
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (California)
- BSN preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing with approval to practice per state requirements may be considered
- At least two years of recent acute care nursing experience
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) required; ACLS (or ARC-ALS) and NRP (or ARC-NALS) required
- Clinical systems: Experience with EPIC and Cerner documentation
Special requirements
- Ability to work night shifts and to float to L&D/LDRP as needed
- Strong critical thinking and collaboration skills
Pay and Hours
- Weekly pay: $2,347–$2,429 per week
- Guaranteed hours: 48 per week
- Contract duration: 8 weeks
- Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts
- Start date: August 17, 2026
