Responsibilities

  • Deliver coordinated nursing care for OB/GYN patients according to established standards and the nursing process
  • Supervise and direct activities of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines; exercise professional and supervisory discretion
  • Collect relevant patient data, analyze assessment findings, and develop a care plan to achieve desired outcomes
  • Implement the plan, coordinate care delivery, and participate in strategies to promote patient safety and a healing environment
  • Participate in discharge planning, provide education to patients and families, and ensure smooth transitions of care
  • Document care in the patient record, collaborate with the treatment team, and adapt care during patient transitions; float to L&D/LDRP as required

Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (California)
  • BSN preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing with approval to practice per state requirements may be considered
  • At least two years of recent acute care nursing experience
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) required; ACLS (or ARC-ALS) and NRP (or ARC-NALS) required
  • Clinical systems: Experience with EPIC and Cerner documentation

Special requirements

  • Ability to work night shifts and to float to L&D/LDRP as needed
  • Strong critical thinking and collaboration skills

Pay and Hours

  • Weekly pay: $2,347–$2,429 per week
  • Guaranteed hours: 48 per week
  • Contract duration: 8 weeks
  • Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts
  • Start date: August 17, 2026
