Travel Registered Nurse OB GYN Job
Overview
A Registered Nurse – OB/GYN travel assignment in Colby, Kansas. Start date is 08/03/2026 for several weeks with a guaranteed 36 hours per week. Weekly pay range is $2,285 to $2,304 per week. Shift is Nights with Day shift on occasion. Setting is a Critical Access Hospital.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care to obstetric and gynecologic patients per physician orders, including admission and discharge planning, assessments, and discharge teaching
- Monitor vital signs, fetal status where applicable, and document findings; administer medications and IV therapies as directed; support pain management and recovery activities
- Assist with labor and delivery as needed, provide postpartum support to new mothers and families, and participate in routine gynecologic procedures and patient education
- Collaborate with obstetrics, anesthesia, neonatal, and other care team members; ensure smooth care transitions, accurate charting, and adherence to safety and infection control protocols
- Respond to clinical changes and emergencies with rapid assessment, stabilization, and escalation according to protocol; maintain patient safety and privacy standards
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse license to practice in Kansas
- OB/GYN nursing experience preferred (prior obstetrics/gynecology experience strongly recommended)
- Ability to work nights with day shift on occasion and adapt to a travel assignment schedule
- Comfort working in a small, multidisciplinary setting and providing patient-centered care
- Willingness to travel and commit to a temporary assignment as described
