Travel Registered Nurse NICU Job

Responsibilities
Deliver direct, specialized nursing care to sick and premature newborns in a Level IV NICU, under the supervision of the neonatal care team.
Maintain accurate Epic charting and adhere to unit protocols for infection control, patient safety, and quality assurance; respond to emergencies and activate appropriate responses as needed.
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and other members of the care team; participate in rounds and contribute to care planning.
Monitor respiratory status and hemodynamics; assist with respiratory support and ventilator management per physician orders; perform ongoing patient assessments and document findings.
Administer medications, IV therapy, and blood products as ordered; assist with invasive procedures and line management; ensure accurate dosing and safety checks.
Provide family-centered care, including education and discharge planning, while supporting the infant’s growth and development goals.
Requirements
- NY Licensed Registered Nurse (RN)
- Minimum 2 years NICU experience
- NRP 8th edition Certification required
- BLS (American Heart Association) certification required
- Telemetry experience preferred; Epic experience highly desired
- Ability to work rotating D/E/N shifts, weekends, holidays, on-call and callback as unit needs
- Education appropriate for RN licensure and practice in NY
