Travel Registered Nurse NICU Job

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to neonatal patients in the NICU according to established standards and the nursing process
  • Collect relevant data, assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care to support optimal outcomes
  • Monitor infant status, administer medications and treatments per policy, and manage NICU equipment
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families; participate in rounds and discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of assigned nursing staff; delegate tasks appropriately and safely
  • Promote a safe, healing environment with family-centered education and ongoing learning opportunities for patients, families, and team members

Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (California)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification from an approved vendor required
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in NICU or acute care settings
  • BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) preferred

Pay and Schedule

Weekly pay: $1,685–$1,795 per week

Guaranteed hours: 36/week

Shift: 3x12-hour Day shifts (7:00 AM–7:00 PM)

Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (California)
