Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job
Overview
A Registered Nurse – Med Surg travel assignment is available in Hanford, California. The start date is August 17, 2026, for an 8-week contract.
Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for an assigned group of Med Surg patients using the nursing process and established standards
- Collect and analyze relevant patient data; identify diagnoses and care needs
- Develop and implement a plan with prescribed interventions to achieve outcomes; coordinate care delivery with the interdisciplinary team
- Monitor patient progress, evaluate outcomes, and adjust the plan as needed
- Collaborate with patients, families, and other healthcare providers; provide education and discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
- Delegate appropriately and supervise nursing team members; maintain a safe, healing environment
Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of practice (California)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; CPR acceptable per policy
- At least two years of recent acute care experience
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN): Preferred
- EPIC and Cerner EMR experience required for EPIC backfill assignments
- Acute care facility experience: Preferred
- Ability to work the night shift in an acute care setting
About the Role
This is a temporary travel assignment through Healthforce Healthcare LLC. The work setting is a Short Term Acute Care Hospital with a 173-bed capacity serving the Central Valley. EPIC and Cerner experience are required for EPIC backfill assignments.

Weekly pay: $1,912–$1,928 per week
Guaranteed hours: 48 per week
Contract duration: 8 weeks
Shift: 3x12-hour nights (7:00 PM–7:00 AM)
