Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job

Key Highlights

• Weekly pay: $1,760–$1,838 per week

• Float pool: may float to other units as needed
• Schedule note: Every other weekend

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments on admission and monitor condition trends during the stay
• Prepare, administer, and chart prescribed medications (including IVs) and manage wound care or specialized equipment
• Cook with physicians, case managers, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families on post-surgery care, medication schedules, and discharge instructions
• Recognize early signs of medical deterioration and respond quickly to stabilize patients; participate in emergency response as needed
• Adhere to unit policies and participate in float assignments to support patient needs

Requirements

• Active RN license in Michigan
• BLS (AHA) certification
• Minimum 2 years Med Surg and Telemetry experience
• Ability to work 3x12-hour night shifts and float to other units as required
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
